If you come across a rainy day or two over these school holidays you can make some beautiful dream catchers to hang in the kids bedroom!
- Paper plates (cheap, uncoated plates work best)
- Pony beads
- Hole punch
The first step is to have a parent cut out the center of the paper plate leaving just the outer ring. Punch holes along the inner surface and one at the top on the outer surface and three on the bottom of the outer surface.
Decorate the ring how you like! Use as much glitter, crayons and sequins that you like.
Tip – lay down a few sheets of paper towels to keep glue from surfaces and help contain the glitter.
Cut three strings and tie feathers to each end and add beads. Then cut some string and thread it through the inside holes of the plate and add some beads in between if you like. Tie it off when you have thread through each hole.
Attach the string with feathers to each of the three holes at the bottom of the ring. Then add a loop of string to the top so you can hang your dream catcher!
